Walls Street, Asian markets and European markets see red

The stock market in the red

Walls Street and the Asian markets ended in the red their sessions dragging their fall to the European markets. The 3 benchmarks of the New York Stock Exchange fell more than 3% causing a sharp decline in Asian markets. The Shanghai Stock Exchange lost 5.22% and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange 6.45%. This Thursday, 11 October, 2018 at 12:00, the BEL20 was losing -1.75%. 

With growing concern, investors turned to safe havens, with gold taking more than 10 cents per ounce (+ 1.09%) this Thursday afternoon. 

The tensions are also in Europe from Italy because the rating agency Fitch has just degraded the rating of the Italian bank Carige. It does not exclude bankruptcy of the banking establishment. The share of the bank has dropped more than 10% resulting of in the authorities to decide to put the trading on hold for the time being.
